Elders

We are an elder-overseen congregation which means that, unlike churches which exercise congregational rule, CCCC is led by a select group of men who give leadership to the doctrine, direction and discipline of the church.

Bruce, his wife Susan and their three girls have lived in the League City area since August 1993.  Bruce is the Founding Pastor of CCCC.  He holds a BA in Practical Theology from Howard Payne University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from New Orleans Seminary.

Mark, his wife Lisa and their three children helped start CCCC.  The Cardens moved to New Orleans soon after the church started but returned to CCCC, and Mark joined the staff in May of 1996 on a part-time basis.  He became the full-time Executive Pastor in April 2000.  Formerly a CPA and Audit Partner with Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P, Mark holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Yancey joined the staff in June 1998.  He and his wife Jennefer have three sons: Thatcher, Haddon and Beckett.  Yancey holds a BA in Religion from Baylor University, Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Seminary, and is currently pursuing his doctorate at Covenant Seminary. He is the author of Tap: Defeating The Sins That Defeat You.

Greg and his wife Kay have two children, Josh and Sarah. They moved to League City from the St. Louis area in 2000 and joined the CCCC staff in August 2002. Before joining the staff, Greg spent 18 years as an accountant in the chemical industry. Greg graduated from Texas-El Paso with a degree in Business Administration.

A native of Alvin, Texas, Chris has a BA from Wayland Baptist University, a  Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Seminary. Chris and his wife Amy have three daughters. In student ministry for almost two decades, Chris served as the Senior High Pastor at First Baptist Church, Burleson, Texas, before coming to CCCC. Chris joined the staff in May 2004 and has been the Campus Pastor at the West Campus since 2008.

Steve was born in Kansas City, Missouri.  Steve and his wife Ginny were married in 1966.  They have two children, Michelle and Gina. Steve is a member of the board of directors for Bill Glass Ministries in Duncanville, Texas and serves as the Texas State Director of Bill Glass Prison Ministries. Steve was a deacon at Clear Lake Baptist and Westbury Baptist Church in Houston.  Steve has been a member of Clear Creek Community Church since 1994.

Haley and his wife Karen were among the original founding families of Clear Creek Community Church. They have three children: Kayley, Kandey and Wade. Haley is an engineer for Conoco Phillips and a graduate of Texas A&M.

Mark was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  He and his wife Denise were married in 1981.  They have two sons Joshua and Jonathan. Mark graduated from the Georgia Technical Institute of Technology in 1978 with a MS in Chemical Engineering and currently works for Laplace Technologies, Inc. in Houston. Mark and Denise were among the first members of Clear Creek Community Church beyond the original founding families, joining prior to the first public service.
